National AIDS Memorial Grove

Since 1989, when a group of friends decided to create a memorial to lost loved ones, the AIDS Memorial in DeLaveaga Dell has attracted thousands of people. The Grove is a 15-acre wooded basin that has become a center for remembrance, hope, and renewal for people throughout the nation. Free tours each Thursday at 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Call 415-750-8340.

Friends and family come to the National AIDS Memorial Grove to tie a ribbon, leave a bouquet, or underwrite a major feature of the Grove in remembrance of lost loved ones. Located within De Laveaga Dell, the Grove is in a constant state of change as volunteers and gardeners add to this living memorial.

The Circle of Friends
The Circle of Friends is a spiral of names chiseled in flagstone paving at the center of the Dogwood Cresent. By contributing $1000, your own name or that of a loved one will be permanently inscribed here.
