The Mexican Bell is located in the Garden of Fragrance in Strybing Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. The bronze bell originally came from a church tower somewhere between Vera Cruz and Mexico City, and was cast in 1847.
The Saint Francis bronze statue is located in the Garden of Fragrance in Strybing Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, just across the walkway from the Mexican Bell. Saint Francis of Assisi, Italy, was the founder of the Franciscans. One of the most popular of saints, he combined austerity with poetic gentleness. |
