The memorial for Thomas Garrigue Masaryk can be found adjacent to the Rose Garden in Golden Gate Park. He was a philosopher and statesman, and was the principal founder of Czechoslovakia. He was also its first president. Masaryk was instrumental in establishing Czechoslovakia's credibility as a genuine democracy.
