Originally a stone quarry that furnished rock for the park's roads, Lily Pond lake is now a showplace for Australian Tree Ferns and lily pads.
Strollers will find hungry mallards and the occasional turtle at Lily Pond Lake in Golden Gate Park. This secluded getaway can be accessed from either John F. Kennedy Drive near the Conservatory of Flowers, or by entering off Middle Drive East, opposite DeLaveaga Dell. |
