Birding in the Park
Return to map

Bird watching in the park can be a surprising and rewarding experience. This Great Egret was seen roosting along the shore of Stow Lake. Other varieties of water-fowl to be found in the park include Double Crested Cormorants, Geese, various ducks and even a pair of nesting Blue Herons.

---

Visitors to Stow Lake can often find hungry waterfowl waiting for lunch. Favoriate places to feed birds can be found at any of the park's lakes. Bring your own bird food. Feeding the birds in the park can provide hours of quality family time. The birds are always willing to cooperate.
Attracting birds is no problem. Simply pull out a bag of bread crumbs or bird seed and fling it into the air. In no time you will be surrounded by new friends.
