Every Sunday, John F. Kennedy Drive is closed to traffic from Cross Over Drive to Stanyan Street. At this time, skaters, bikers and hikers take over for day long exercise and enjoyment.
Bicycle, skate and surrey rentals are available at various locations, including (pictured here) the
Stow Lake Boathouse.

 Although controversial, future park plans call for more street closings throughout the park. For now, JFK Drive on Sundays is the place to go for an unencumbered ride through the park.
