Walking Paths
Return to map

Golden Gate Park provides many miles of paved and dirt walking paths. Many areas, like this one at Llyod Lake, can only be discovered by exploring the various paths.

In spring, the park comes alive with new blooming. Getting out of the car and walking the trails and paths of Golden Gate Park is the best way to explore areas not seen from the road. Pictured above is Stow Lake. A springtime walk along John F. Kennedy Drive provides visitors with a dazzling array of blooming splendor. Visitors can walk the paved paths or venture onto one of the parks' many dirt trails.
